The questions we are asked most often — answered openly, without a sales pitch.
What does professional product photography cost?
A simple cut-out on a white background starts at roughly 20 EUR per image. With added effects, lifestyle staging or infographics, prices typically run between 25 and 150 EUR per image. Glossy or high-value products such as watches and jewellery take more work and start at around 35 EUR. For every project we quote transparently based on the number of products and the scope.
How many product images do I need for Amazon?
Amazon offers 9 image slots, of which about 7 are usually shown in the gallery. We recommend a cut-out main image plus 5 to 6 further views: angle, material detail, use or lifestyle, an infographic with your benefits and, if useful, dimensions or what is included.
What are Amazon requirements for the main image?
The main image needs a pure white background (RGB 255,255,255), the product must fill at least 85 percent of the frame, and no logos, text, watermarks or additional objects are allowed. For the zoom function we recommend at least 2000 x 2000 px. Breaching the image guidelines can get the listing suppressed.
What is a cut-out or packshot?
A cut-out is a product photo where the product is cleanly separated from the background and placed on pure white. It is the standard for online shops and the required Amazon main image.
What is A+ content (formerly EBC)?
A+ content is an extended product description on the Amazon detail page with large images, comparison tables and brand story. It requires Amazon Brand Registry. A+ content raises trust and conversion.
How long does a shoot and the delivery take?
It depends on the scope. We deliver the finished, edited images within 5 working days of the shoot. We agree the exact schedule in the first call.
Are usage rights included in the prices?
Yes. You receive full usage rights to your images for your online shop, Amazon and other marketplaces, social media and print. The details are set out in the quote.
Do I have to ship my products to you?
Usually yes — you send the products by post or bring them to the studio in Dusseldorf. After the shoot we ship them back on request.
Do you offer video production as well?
Yes, photo and video from one team. We produce product videos, corporate films, recruitment films, trade fair films and social reels — often in the same shoot, which saves time and money. All prices are published as fixed prices on the respective service pages.
Do you photograph food and beauty too?
Yes. We have dedicated setups for food and beverage photography as well as beauty and cosmetics, including lifestyle and macro work.
Which marketplaces are the images suitable for?
For Amazon (all EU marketplaces / PAN-EU), eBay, Otto, Shopify, WooCommerce and Google Shopping — as well as social media and print. We deliver the matching formats and resolutions.
Can you optimise or retouch existing images?
Yes. We handle professional image editing, retouching and cutting out existing shots — including bringing them in line with Amazon requirements.
How do good product images improve my Amazon ranking?
Better images raise click-through rate and conversion. Both are important signals for the Amazon ranking: products that get clicked and bought more often tend to be placed higher. Clear main images, meaningful infographics and lifestyle shots therefore affect visibility directly.
