What does it cost you per month?
A film is not a running cost but a one-off production you use for years. So we convert it to 36 months - that is what makes a comparison with monthly marketing costs like Google Ads honest.

A plain division of the net price across the useful life - no interest, financing or tax calculation. How the expense works out for tax is a question for your tax adviser.
What determines the price of a trade fair film
Number of fair days
The only genuinely large item. Half a day covers a compact appearance, three days a leading fair with a stage programme.
Crew size on site
Two people cover film and photos in parallel. A third only pays off on very large stands with parallel programme items.
Stage and talk recording
Talks need clean sound straight from the desk and a second camera — that is a setup of its own.
Number of interviews
Short interviews with visitors and partners deliver the most usable material, but they cost standing time.
Travel and accommodation
Included within NRW. For fairs in Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg or Nuremberg, travel and accommodation are added — quoted in advance.
How to pay less
Pick the right day
The second fair day is usually the strongest: the stand has settled, traffic is high, the team is in rhythm. One well-chosen day beats three average ones.
Stand shots before the doors open
The stand without the crowd can be captured in the quiet hour before opening — it costs no extra time and delivers the best images.
Schedule interviews in advance
If the interviewees are settled, expensive waiting time at the stand disappears.
Plan material for the whole year
One fair day yields months of content if we think in vertical formats and single frames from the start.
Common questions about trade fair film cost
What does a trade fair film cost?
The market rate is 3,000 to 15,000 EUR. At MidMat half a fair day costs 1,290 EUR, a full fair day 2,490 EUR and up to three fair days 4,900 EUR net — film and photos included each time.
Is trade fair photography included in the price?
Yes, in every package. That is exactly where the price difference comes from: where others invoice a photographer and a film crew separately, our two-person team covers both in the same deployment.
What does an aftermovie cost?
The aftermovie is part of the day package, not a separate item. From 1,290 EUR you get 60 seconds; from 2,490 EUR a 90-second version plus five vertical clips.
How quickly do we get the material?
Photos and aftermovie are delivered fully edited within 5 working days of the last fair day. We deliberately do not promise delivery on the fair day itself — a clean edit and colour grade need that time.
Do we need a filming permit from the fair?
For footage on your own stand, usually not. As soon as we film in the aisles or on other stands, accreditation is required — we apply for it with you if you let us know in time.
Will the crew disturb our customer conversations?
We work as a pair, without a forest of tripods and without extra lighting at the stand. Tell us about important meetings in advance and we stay away entirely.
Is it worth it for a small stand?
Especially then. With a small stand the documentation is often the only part of the investment that survives the fair and keeps working.
Do you travel to fairs outside North Rhine-Westphalia?
Yes. Within NRW — Dusseldorf, Cologne, Essen, Dortmund — travel is included. For Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg, Berlin or Nuremberg we quote travel and accommodation transparently up front.
Can we book several fairs a year?
Yes, and we quote an annual price for that. Anyone documenting three or more fairs a year pays noticeably less per date.
Do we get material for social media?
Vertical clips are included in every package — the formats that keep a fair appearance working after the fair.
What about visitors' image rights?
For people filmed on your own stand we obtain consent. In wide shots we make sure nobody is singled out.
Can we book at short notice?
If a crew is free, yes. Fair dates cluster heavily though — the earlier you ask, the more certain you are of your preferred day.
